The first game of 2020 and the Dairymen are off to a superb start with a win over Old Illtydians.
The tries were plentiful in the first half with skipper Scott Jones scoring and converting the first try. The second try of the match came from Stu Griffiths. The visitors, under a lot of pressure from the start then came back with a penalty.
The Dairymen were unfazed and before the half time whistle there were tries from Tom Buckle, Leon Burton and Lewis Stansbury (who was awarded Man of the Match by the match sponsors - the Bryncae Bar Boys). Jones converted two of those tries.
The half time score saw the Black and Blues ahead 31-3.
Old Illtydians came back fighting in the second half bringing the game to the Dairymen. They crossed the line twice bringing the score to 31-17, skipper Scott Jones responded with a try for Llanharan.
The last few seconds of the game saw Old Illtydians cross the line for a converted try.
A valuable 5 points gained this week for the Black and Blues with a 36-24 win.
