In a game of 2 halves Bridgend Sports dominated the first half with Llanharan forcing their way back in to the game in the second half. The Sports were deservedly 21-0 up after 25 minutes with poor Llanharan tackling letting the Sports in for their tries. However a try for Sam Llewellyn after some good passing by the forwards and a Chris Sharkey conversion gave Llanharan a glimmer of hope. However the Sports hit back with another try to make the half time score 28-7 to the Sports.
Now Llanharan started playing ( It coincided with Coach Gareth Nicholas turning up in a blazer straight from Henley Regatta ) No.8 Louis Stansbury drove over from a 5 metre scrum for a try which Alex Newbold converted, making the score 28-14. Next Sam Llewellyn did his best to score while lying on his back, making the score 28-19. A superb run by Alex Newbold ended with a try which he also converted, making the score 28-26. The fairy tale ending was not to be however when the Sports scored another try to win a most enjoyable game of rugby played in perfect conditions.
🚨 FINAL SCORE 🚨
@BridgendSports 35 - 26 Llanharan 2nd XV
