There's an article in WOL tonight explaining how the WRU have set up a network of coaches in England who will scout for Welsh qualified players playing in England. It's come about because we have lost so many players to the English system. This a few lines from the article:
"Cardiff-born Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, capped by England during the Six Nations, has been the highest-profile loss recently, while the Welsh-born trio of Kane James, Luke Evans and Josh Hathaway have all represented England at age-grade."
Luke Evans is a Llanharan boy who was lost to us after there was no team for his Age Group. This is what Steve Roberts had to say about him at the beginning of this season:
"Luke Evans Wales U18 International
We are delighted to see Welsh U18s international and local boy Luke Evans back at the club with our Youth setup.
This season, he will also be starting his journey with Exeter RFC and will be back with us when not involved with Exeter.
GOOD LUCK FROM US ALL AND SEE YOU SOON!!!
Steve Roberts
Llanharan Youth"
We would like to wish Luke all the best in his rugby career in which ever direction it takes him and that he is always welcome at Llanharan RFC.
